How Does Your Skin Feel?

If you are like most of us, you want radiant, glowing skin, but it doesn’t always feel that way!  Here are a few tips to help your skin feel its best.

Tip#1: Never try to squeeze a blemish on your own.  You will irritate it more and it will take longer to heal.  You may even leave a scar.  Use a spot treatment with salicylic acid every morning and night to help it heal faster.

Tip#2: Using bar soaps, over-using toners rubbing alcohol, a harsh scrub exfoliant, rubbing with abrasive loofahs or washcloths are also several ways one can abuse their skin.  Use a gentle cleanser and a liquid exfoliant with salicylic acid, which will clean out the pores and get rid of dead skin cells.  You only need to cleanse your skin twice daily (AM and PM).  Washing it more than this can strip, irritate and dry out the skin.  Always treat your skin as gently as possible.

Tip #3: Make sure your phone is always clean.  Rubbing it on the chin or face can cause breakouts because of bacteria.  Using rubbing alcohol to clean the phone is very effective.

Tip #4: Change yor pillow case at least every other day.  Sweat, oil, dirt, bacteria, and excess makeup left on them can irritate the skin. Use a clean towel every day to dry your face for the same reason.
